Installation & Maintenance Pitfalls (Expert Tips)
- Improper Channel Configuration: Each channel can be configured as input or output. If the channel function is misconfigured during installation (such as configuring the channel connected to the sensor as output), the signal cannot be collected normally. It is necessary to confirm the function of the connected field device in advance and carry out targeted configuration.
- Random Fuse Replacement: The module is equipped with plug-in fuses. If fuses with inconsistent current ratings are randomly replaced during maintenance, the channel may not be protected effectively or the normal operation of the device may be affected. Fuses of the specified model and current rating should be selected.
- Insecure Rail Installation: Although it is compatible with standard DIN rails, if the installation is not firm, the module may loosen due to the vibration of the industrial site, resulting in poor contact. It should be clamped tightly according to the installation specifications after being placed on the rail.
- Unreasonable Grouped Power Supply: The field power supply is divided into five groups of eight channels. If the high-power field devices are concentrated in the same group during wiring, the group current may exceed the limit. It is necessary to distribute the load reasonably among different groups to ensure stable power supply.
