Field Application & Problem Solved
In industries such as oil and gas and chemical processing, the safety of production processes is crucial. Once the control system fails, it is likely to lead to major safety accidents such as leaks and explosions. The PS01-A module can effectively solve such risks with its high reliability and fault tolerance.
For example, in an onshore oil refinery’s emergency shutdown system (ESD), the PS01-A is responsible for processing the signal feedback from the pipeline pressure and temperature sensors. When an abnormal data is detected, its high-speed 32-bit processor can quickly execute the shutdown logic and send an instruction to the actuator, avoiding pipeline rupture and oil leakage. In a chemical plant’s reactor control system, the dual redundant power supply design of the module can prevent the control system from crashing due to power failure. Even if one power supply fails, the other can immediately take over the work, ensuring the stable operation of the reactor’s temperature and pressure control links.

Installation & Maintenance Pitfalls (Expert Tips)
- Incorrect Voltage Matching: The module’s voltage input range is 18V – 32VDC. If a power supply beyond this range is connected during installation, the internal circuit of the module will be burned out. It is necessary to test the power supply voltage in advance to ensure it matches the module’s requirements.
- Neglecting Redundant Power Supply Configuration: Although the module supports dual redundant power inputs, if only a single power supply is connected to save costs during installation, the fault tolerance of the system will be lost. It is recommended to complete the configuration of dual power supplies in accordance with the safety specifications of critical industrial scenarios.
- Improper Communication Protocol Matching: The module supports multiple communication protocols such as Ethernet and RS – 485. If the communication protocol settings are inconsistent with the connected control system during integration, data transmission interruption will occur. It is necessary to confirm the system’s communication parameters in advance and make corresponding configurations.
- Ignoring Regular Diagnostic Data Checking: The module has advanced diagnostic functions. If the staff do not pay attention to the diagnostic data during daily operation, potential faults such as component aging cannot be found in time. It is necessary to connect the diagnostic port to the monitoring platform and set up fault alarms.
