Description
IC200ALG432 Product Overview
The IC200ALG432 is a mixed-voltage analog I/O module that snaps onto any VersaMax I/O carrier (IC200CHSxxx). It delivers four differential-capable, single-ended ±10 V inputs and two ±10 V outputs on one card, eliminating the need for separate input and output modules in low-channel-count applications such as valve-position loops, temperature trimming, or servo-drive reference.

Within the control architecture the module sits at the “field-signal interface” layer: it presents a 250 Ω burden to each input, digitises to 12-bit resolution in 0.4 ms, and updates the outputs every 0.4 ms. All channels share a common ground reference, making it suitable for grounded or isolated transmitters. Because the card is powered solely from the 5 V backplane, no external 24 V supply is required—ideal for distributed I/O nodes where only logic power is available.
Being part of the VersaMax family, the module is hot-swappable, auto-configured by the CPU, and shares the same 28 mm depth as all VersaMax I/O, so plant stores can standardise on one cable set and one spare.

Core Features & Customer Value
Mixed I/O on one card – Four inputs and two outputs eliminate separate modules, saving rack space and spare-part count in small valve-position or temperature-trim loops.
Mixed I/O on one card – Four inputs and two outputs eliminate separate modules, saving rack space and spare-part count in small valve-position or temperature-trim loops.
±10 V bipolar range – Handles servo references, magnetic amplifiers, or ±10 V position sensors without external signal conditioning.
0.4 ms update – Fast enough for inner-loop position or pressure control without adding CPU overhead.
No external power – Draws only 5 V from the backplane; ideal for remote VersaMax nodes where only logic power is available.
Hot-swap & auto-configure – Module can be inserted or removed while the rack is powered, and the CPU automatically recognises range and fault status—no DIP switches to set.
Typical Applications
In packaging machines the IC200ALG432 is installed in a VersaMax remote I/O node to read ±10 V from a linear-position encoder and drive a ±10 V servo-amplifier reference, closing the position loop in <1 ms.

In water-treatment plants the same module reads ±10 V from a magnetic flow transmitter and outputs ±10 V to a variable-frequency drive, using the bipolar range to handle forward and reverse flow without re-scaling.
Because the card is certified for Zone 2 and marine environments, it is also used on off-shore platforms for well-head choke-position feedback without needing additional isolation barriers.
