Description
DS3800HMPC1F1D: Product Overview
The DS3800HMPC1F1D is a daughterboard-grade microprocessor regulator board that plugs onto a motherboard carrier inside the GE Speedtronic Mark IV rack. It hosts the central CPU, EPROM firmware, and deterministic control algorithms that govern speed PID, load control, temperature limiting, and protective tripping. Because it is hardware-deterministic (no firmware download), the card delivers bit-exact timing across all three legs of a TMR string, making it suitable for SIL-2 / API 670 turbine control when triple-redundant.
The board belongs to the DS3800 daughterboard architecture, allowing hot-swap replacement without rewiring the turbine deck. Gold-plated edge fingers, conformal coat, and –20 °C to +70 °C rating ensure 25-year service life in coal-dust, salt-fog, or high-vibration environments.

Core Features & Customer Value
Deterministic 5 ms Scan for Grid-Code Compliance
The Intel 8086 CPU and hardware-based scan timer ensure bit-exact congruence across all three CPU legs; voter disagreement is <50 µs, mandatory for SIL-2 TMR certification and NERC frequency-response requirements.

Hot-Swap Redundancy Without Outage
Plug-and-play replacement in TMR racks; remaining two CPUs carry load while faulted board is swapped in <5 min, achieving >99.97 % start reliability on combined-cycle fleets.

Field-Calibratable Without Software
17 gold-pinned jumpers select scan rate, I/O maps, and gain/offset—technician can tune for different turbine inertia or generator rating using only a screwdriver and the silk-screen legend, no laptop required.

Surge-Hardened for Turbine Deck
TVS diodes and opto-isolators clamp >500 V spikes from lightning, VFD switching, or exciter flash-over. The 1500 V isolation barrier prevents ground-fault propagation to CPU cards, reducing unplanned replacement by >60 % compared with commercial CPUs.
