Product Introduction
GE DS2020PDMAG6 is a power distribution module for the GE Speedtronic Mark VI control system family. It is commonly referred to as the PDM module and is used to distribute 125 VDC and 115 VAC or 230 VAC power to all racks and terminal boards within the Mark VI system.
The PDM accepts customer 125 VDC and 115/230 VAC power through power filters. One or two AC/DC converters supply 125 VDC output and are connected to the AC power source through cables. For redundant power operation, the de-voltage cable is looped back to the main DC power PDM and diode arrangement. VME racks and terminal boards receive power from this distribution network.
The AC/DC converter can operate at either 115 VAC or 230 VAC. The transformer cable must be inserted into JTX1 or JTX2 depending on the operating voltage. The PDM also collects diagnostic data and links it to a terminal board mounted on a DIN rail. From there, the cable runs through J301 to the VCMI in rack “R”.
AC feed terminals J17 through J20 are fused and wired to relay terminal boards. Interface cabinets, protection modules, TRPG, TREG, and TRLY all have fused and wired 125 VDC feeders. The PDM is supplied through Control Power Filters (CPF), which reduce EMI noise to ensure clean power delivery to downstream boards. The CPF rack can hold two or three Corcom 30 A filter modules. Before being fused and connected to the TBCI board, contact input power passes through TB2, resistors R3 and R4, and TB2. Contact inputs use a 125 VDC excitation voltage.
Some third-party listings describe DS2020PDMAG6 as an RST analog I/O board or TCQA-type signal conditioning board. That description conflicts with the PDM power distribution module definition and should not be treated as authoritative without verification against the physical board label and GE documentation.

Note: The PDM power distribution function, 125 VDC output, 115/230 VAC input selection via JTX1/JTX2, CPF filtering, J301 VCMI link, and J17–J20 AC feed terminals are documented for DS2020PDMAG6. The exact fuse ratings, LED indicators, jumper map, and AG6-specific configuration should be verified from the physical board label and GE Mark VI manuals.
Quality Control Process (DYNAMIC GENERATION)
- Visual and label inspection. We check the part number, suffix, PCB surface, connectors, power filter modules, terminal blocks, and mounting hardware for damage or corrosion.
- PDM function verification. We confirm the board matches the DS2020PDMAG6 power distribution module description and is not mislabeled as a TCQA analog I/O board or other unrelated module.
- Connector and terminal check. JTX1/JTX2, J301, J17–J20, and TB2 terminals are verified for correct pin continuity and no short circuits.
- Power filter and converter inspection. CPF filter modules and AC/DC converter interface components are inspected for visible damage or failed components.
- Final packaging. After passing inspection, the board is anti-static bagged and foam-packed for shipment.
Replacement Pitfall Guide (DYNAMIC GENERATION)
❗ Confirm PDM function before installation. DS2020PDMAG6 is a power distribution module; do not substitute it with TCQA, TCEB, TCPD, or other Mark V/Mark VI I/O boards.
❗ Ignore conflicting third-party descriptions. Some listings describe this part number as an RST analog I/O board or TCQA-type board; that conflicts with the PDM power distribution module definition.
❗ Verify AC input voltage selection. Ensure the transformer cable is correctly inserted into JTX1 (115 VAC) or JTX2 (230 VAC) before powering up.
❗ Record jumper and switch positions before removal. Document all jumper settings and terminal connections for correct restoration after replacement.
❗ Label all connectors and terminals before removal. Miswiring J17–J20 AC feeds or J301 diagnostic links can cause power distribution failures or loss of diagnostic communication.
❗ Verify CPF filter installation. Ensure Control Power Filter modules are correctly seated in the CPF rack before operation.
❗ Handle as ESD-sensitive equipment. Always use anti-static wrist straps and handling procedures during removal, installation, and storage.
Keep these in mind and you’ll cut 90% of rework time.
